Seattle is positioned to win this matchup because their defense is finally back to near full strength with Julian Love and Devon Witherspoon healthy, giving them the coverage flexibility to slow down Kyler Murray’s passing game. Arizona is missing key weapons like James Conner and Zay Jones, while their offensive line is banged up, which leaves Murray more vulnerable to pressure from Mike Macdonald’s creative front. The Seahawks’ run defense has been one of the league’s best, which forces the Cardinals into a pass-heavy script that plays into Seattle’s secondary advantage. On the other side, Arizona’s defense has been excellent against the run, but their pass defense ranks near the bottom, opening opportunities for Sam Darnold to exploit matchups with JSN and the receiving corps. Seattle also holds an edge on special teams and overall team efficiency, as reflected in their top DVOA ranking through three weeks. With healthier personnel, defensive discipline, and situational advantages, the Seahawks are more likely to grind out a close divisional win on the road.

Army @ ECU 7:30pm EST

I like ECU in this one because quarterback Katin Houser gives the Pirates a dynamic passing attack that Army’s secondary has struggled to contain all season. With top targets Anthony Smith and Brock Spalding stretching the field, ECU can generate explosive plays through the air while keeping the Army defense on its heels. The Pirates also boast one of the nation’s stronger run defenses, which is crucial against an Army team that relies almost exclusively on its ground game. By limiting Army’s rushing efficiency, ECU forces longer third downs and pushes the Black Knights into uncomfortable passing situations. Add in ECU’s home-field advantage in Greenville, where they have played their best football, and the coaching staff’s defensive pedigree under Blake Harrell, the Pirates hold the matchup edge. Altogether, ECU’s balance on both sides of the ball positions them to outscore Army and control the game flow.
