The Ravens are positioned to win and cover because Lamar Jackson’s dual-threat ability creates matchup problems for a Lions defense that has struggled against explosive passing plays early this season. Baltimore’s offensive line gives him the time to attack Detroit’s secondary, which has been the weaker half of their unit, especially with Marcus Davenport sidelined. On the other side, Jared Goff is efficient, but Baltimore’s pass defense has shown it can contain quarterbacks when forced into obvious passing situations. Injuries to key Lions players up front, like Taylor Decker being questionable, further tilt the trench battle toward the Ravens’ favor. John Harbaugh’s staff has continuity and a proven track record in primetime games, while Detroit’s new coordinators are still finding rhythm. With the home-field edge at M&T Bank Stadium and Baltimore’s offensive ceiling, the Ravens are more likely to create separation late and cover the spread.
