NCAAF:
Florida @ Miami 7:30pm EST
Miami is positioned to win this game by at least a touchdown thanks to their overwhelming advantage in the passing game, where Carson Beck has thrived behind a strong offensive line and with new weapons like CJ Daniels and Malachi Toney. Florida’s defense has held up well against the run but has been far more vulnerable through the air, and the Hurricanes’ scheme under Shannon Dawson is designed to exploit exactly that weakness. On the other side, Florida quarterback DJ Lagway has shown flashes of talent but has also been turnover-prone, throwing five interceptions against LSU, which plays right into a Miami defense that has consistently smothered the run and forced opponents into mistakes. The Gators’ defensive front is also battered by injuries, leaving them thin in the trenches and unable to consistently disrupt Beck’s timing. Coaching continuity favors Miami as well, with Cristobal’s program building on last year’s 41-17 blowout win and returning with more offensive firepower and stability. All of these factors combine to give Miami a clear edge in efficiency and consistency, making it highly likely they win this game by seven or more points.
