Kennesaw State enters the game off a 4-2 mark and 2-0 in conference, showing greater consistency than FIU at this point.  Their defense, while not elite, allows fewer points per game (≈20.5) than FIU’s offense has reliably scored, giving the Owls a margin of error.  FIU, meanwhile, showed major volatility — one week they dominate, the next they collapse badly (e.g., the 51-10 loss to UConn).  Kennesaw also has more depth at quarterback (with viable options) and a coaching staff that appears to be getting buy-in, reducing big swings. FIU’s new head coach is still in transition and the WR corps is banged up, limiting their upside. Given the data and matchup dynamics, Kennesaw is positioned to win by at least a field-goal, which covers the -2.5 line.
