Detroit should win and cover –4 because their offense has a distinct schematic advantage against Todd Bowles’ blitz-heavy defense. Jared Goff has been one of the league’s best quarterbacks against pressure, and with Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta thriving in the short-to-intermediate game, the Lions can exploit Tampa’s aggressive man coverage. Detroit’s offensive line remains one of the most consistent units in football, which should neutralize Haason Reddick and Vita Vea, keeping Goff upright and on schedule. On the other side, Baker Mayfield faces a depleted receiving corps without Chris Godwin and possibly a limited Mike Evans, which makes it difficult to consistently attack a Lions defense that still pressures well up front. Playing indoors at Ford Field gives Detroit’s offense a major efficiency bump, and their red-zone conversion rate has been elite compared to Tampa’s bottom-tier red-zone defense. Expect Detroit to control tempo, win the trenches, and pull away late — covering the 4-point spread with a likely 30–23 or 31–24 final.
