Nebraska is built to cover +8 because their run-heavy identity with Emmett Johnson matches perfectly against Penn State’s biggest defensive weakness: a below-average run front that gives up chunk yardage and struggles to get off the field against physical backs. TJ Lateef’s dual-threat ability also forces Penn State to account for the QB run, which slows down Jim Knowles’ aggressive blitz packages and limits the havoc PSU normally relies on to create separation.
