Personal Play: July 23rd

2 tough losses to start the week. Let’s get back tonight. I have 2 plays— LETS ROLL‼️💸💸💸

PERSONAL PLAY:

MLB:

Chicago White Sox @ Tampa Bay Rays 7:35pm EST

The Rays are in a strong position to win and cover the -1.5 spread thanks to a clear edge in starting pitching, with Zach Eflin’s elite command and low walk rate giving Tampa a reliable foundation. Drew Thorpe, on the other hand, has struggled with command and gives up a high percentage of hard contact, making him vulnerable against a Rays lineup that excels at punishing mistakes. Tampa Bay has shown improved offensive production over the last 10 games, especially from the top half of the order, while the White Sox remain one of the league’s weakest hitting teams. The Rays’ bullpen has also been more consistent and better rested, whereas Chicago’s relievers have been heavily taxed and underperforming. Defensive metrics favor Tampa as well, reducing the chance of run-scoring miscues that could keep the game close. Given these advantages across the board, the Rays are well-positioned to win by multiple runs.

1 Unit Play: Rays -1.5

LEAN:

MLB:

Oakland Athletics @ Texas Rangers 8:05pm EST

This game is likely to go over 8 runs due to the combination of inconsistent pitching and improved offensive momentum from the Rangers. J.P. Sears has struggled with command lately, allowing multiple runs in most of his recent starts, while Texas has seen a surge in run production over the past week. Patrick Corbin, although capable at home, still gives up a high contact rate, especially to right-handed hitters—something Oakland’s top bats can occasionally exploit. Both bullpens rank in the bottom third of the league in ERA and WHIP, making late-inning runs more likely. With warm weather and a hitter-friendly park in play, the conditions slightly favor an offensive outcome. All signs point toward a game that will feature scoring opportunities from both lineups.

1/2 Unit Play: Over Total 8 Runs
