Cavs @ 76ers 7:00pm EST
The 76ers are in a strong position to beat the Cavaliers tonight because their half-court offense consistently exploits teams that struggle to defend elite interior scoring. Philadelphia’s ability to control the paint forces Cleveland to collapse defensively, which opens up clean perimeter looks and limits the Cavs’ ability to stay home on shooters. Defensively, the 76ers match up well by taking away Cleveland’s first option and forcing the Cavs into tougher late-clock possessions, where their offensive efficiency tends to drop. The 76ers’ physicality and rebounding edge should also tilt the possession battle in their favor, creating extra scoring chances and preventing Cleveland from getting out in transition. In late-game situations, Philadelphia has shown better execution and poise, especially when the game slows down and becomes about shot creation and free throws. If the tempo stays controlled and the 76ers impose their size and discipline, they should wear down the Cavs and pull away in the second half.

Colorado State @ Boise State 10:30pm EST
Boise State is well positioned to beat Colorado State and cover the -5 spread because their defensive pressure consistently disrupts teams that rely heavily on half-court execution. The Broncos do an excellent job forcing contested shots late in the clock, which is a major issue for a Colorado State offense that becomes inefficient when it can’t play through rhythm ball movement. Boise State’s physicality on the perimeter allows them to take away clean three-point looks, forcing Colorado State into tougher mid-range attempts they don’t prefer. On the other end, Boise’s offensive balance makes them difficult to scheme against, as they can score through the post, off ball screens, and in transition. The Broncos also have a clear rebounding edge, particularly on the defensive glass, which limits Colorado State’s second-chance opportunities and keeps the pace under control. Home-court advantage further amplifies Boise State’s defensive intensity, where opponents historically struggle with shooting consistency and ball security. Late in games, Boise State is more comfortable playing through contact and converting at the free-throw line, which is critical when laying points. If Boise State dictates tempo and continues to win the physical battles, they should separate in the second half and comfortably cover the -5.
