Personal Play: January 11th
Let’s finish off the week strong!! 2 Leans let’s roll!
LEAN:
NFL:
Bills @ Jaguars 1:00pm EST
The Bills have a clear edge today because their offense is far more explosive and efficient than what the Jaguars have shown recently, especially in early-down success and red-zone execution. Buffalo’s quarterback play creates constant stress on defenses by stretching the field vertically, which opens up running lanes and easy completions underneath. Defensively, the Bills are excellent at disguising coverages, a major advantage against a Jaguars offense that has struggled when forced into long third-down situations. Jacksonville has also been inconsistent in pass protection, and Buffalo’s pass rush can generate pressure without heavy blitzing, disrupting timing all game. The Bills are one of the league’s best teams at capitalizing on mistakes, consistently turning turnovers or short fields into touchdowns instead of field goals. When Buffalo gets a lead, their ability to control tempo on both sides of the ball makes it very difficult for the Jaguars to keep pace, setting up a Bills win.

NFL:
Chargers @ Patriots 8:15pm EST
The Chargers are well positioned to cover +4 tonight because their offense has a significant matchup advantage against a Patriots defense that has struggled to contain explosive plays, especially when forced into space. Los Angeles’ quarterback play gives them a higher offensive ceiling, as they can attack all levels of the field and punish single-high coverage with chunk gains. The Patriots’ offense has been inconsistent sustaining drives, which keeps their defense on the field longer and creates opportunities for the Chargers to win the time-of-possession battle. Defensively, the Chargers can focus on taking away the run and force New England into obvious passing situations, where protection issues and limited explosiveness become a major problem. Situationally, the Chargers have shown they can keep games close even when trailing, making a +4 spread valuable in a matchup expected to stay tight deep into the fourth quarter. If Los Angeles converts red-zone trips into touchdowns and avoids early turnovers, they have a very real path to not only covering the number but winning outright.
