PERSONAL PLAY:
College Basketball:

Pacific @ Washington State 9:30pm EST

Washington State is in a strong position to win and cover the small −2.5 spread tonight against Pacific, especially with this game being played at home where the Cougars are typically more comfortable and efficient. In tight spread games like this, home-court energy often becomes the difference late, and Washington State has shown they can execute down the stretch in close matchups. Offensively, the Cougars play with better balance and shot selection, and they generate consistent half-court looks that should expose Pacific’s defensive lapses. Pacific has struggled with consistency, particularly on the road, and when their offense stalls they tend to go through long scoring droughts that allow opponents to create separation. Washington State also holds an edge on the glass, and second-chance points could be a key factor in turning a one-possession game into a two- or three-possession margin. Defensively, the Cougars are disciplined in guarding the perimeter, which limits Pacific’s ability to build momentum from three-point shooting runs. With the spread sitting under a single possession, Washington State simply needs a controlled, efficient performance to win by four or more, and their matchup advantages suggest they can do exactly that.
