PERSONAL PLAY:
MLB:
Baltimore Orioles @ Boston Red Sox 7:10pm EST
The Orioles have a strong chance to beat the Red Sox tonight behind Trevor Rogers, who enters the game with a stellar 1.43 ERA and has consistently shut down quality lineups this season. Boston counters with Dustin May, who owns a 4.67 ERA and has been inconsistent despite a recent solid outing, giving Baltimore a slight advantage in the pitching matchup. The Orioles also come in with momentum, winning four of their last five games, while Boston has gone just 3-2 in that span. Adding to Boston’s challenges, outfielder Wilyer Abreu is expected to miss the series with a calf issue, leaving the Red Sox lineup short of an important bat. Baltimore has also shown the ability to erupt offensively, as seen in a recent 12-run outburst, which could prove decisive if Rogers keeps the game close early. Finally, Boston’s bullpen has been shaky compared to expectations, and if the Orioles push the game into the later innings within striking distance, the Red Sox could be vulnerable to surrendering a late lead.
