PERSONAL PLAY PT. 1:
MLB:
Toronto Blue Jays @ Los Angeles Dodgers 4:10pm EST
The Blue Jays have a strong chance to pull off the upset tonight thanks to Kevin Gausman taking the mound, who has a track record of success against the Dodgers and excels at limiting hard contact. Toronto’s offense has been heating up, with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette both producing multi-hit games recently, giving them the firepower to challenge Tyler Glasnow. The Jays have also been more disciplined at the plate over the past week, drawing more walks and forcing starters into higher pitch counts early. Los Angeles’ bullpen has shown some vulnerability in the second half, which could give Toronto an edge if they can chase Glasnow before the late innings. If the Blue Jays can combine Gausman’s steady pitching with timely hitting, they have the tools to steal a road win in Los Angeles.

PT. 2
WeThe Blue Jays have been swinging the bats well lately, averaging over five runs per game in their last five contests, and they’ve shown the ability to score in bunches against elite pitching. Tyler Glasnow has been dominant overall, but he has occasionally struggled with command, leading to elevated pitch counts and run opportunities for patient lineups like Toronto’s. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette are both in strong form, and the supporting cast has been delivering key extra-base hits to extend innings. The Dodgers’ bullpen has posted a higher ERA over the last two weeks, making late-game scoring a realistic path to surpassing 3.5 runs. If Toronto can capitalize on Glasnow’s early pitch inefficiency and get into the bullpen by the middle innings, they should have no trouble clearing their team total.
