The Jazz are undervalued at +12 due to Boston’s depleted roster, missing Jayson Tatum and still adjusting after major offseason changes. Utah’s offense, led by Lauri Markkanen, consistently creates mismatches against smaller frontcourts like Boston’s current rotation of Tillman and Queta. Without Tatum and Porziņģis, the Celtics’ half-court scoring efficiency dips nearly eight points per 100 possessions, making it difficult to separate late in games. Keyonte George’s growing confidence and Nurkić’s playmaking help the Jazz maintain offensive balance and slow tempo, limiting transition chances that Boston thrives on. Will Hardy’s squad also ranks among the top ten in defensive rebounding percentage this season, neutralizing one of Boston’s biggest second-chance advantages. Given the combination of size, pace control, and Boston’s lack of interior scoring, Utah should comfortably stay within double digits and threaten a backdoor cover late.
